 Sgt.
Ricky Dever to be named Correction Officer of the Year.
Members of Local 419,
Our beloved brother Ricky Dever will be
honored at the State House during the Correction Officer of the Year
awards. This will take place on Monday, June 20th at 11:00AM in the
House Chambers on the 3rd floor. This recognition of Ricky's
courage and selflessness is well deserved and should be met with a
strong showing of support for our brother and the Dever family. I
urge all who can attend to do so. For those who do not want to park
near the State House there will be a van and carpools leaving from
the House of Correction. Please meet there at 9:45AM if
interested. There will be seating available to us, but they are
looking for a rough estimate of how many officers we will have
attending. If you would like to attend please call central control
for my cell phone number and leave me a message. Thank you.
